Amarnath Pilgrimage Bank Registration – Step by Step Procedure to obtain Amarnath Pilgrimage Bank Registration

Step 1: Obtain Medical Certificate

First, obtain an Amarnath Pilgrimage Medical Health Certificate from an authorized doctor. You can download a format of the certificate and a list of approved doctors. Make sure that you have completed your medical certificate, also known as a CHC. Once you have completed your CHC, you have completed step one. One recent passport-size photograph will be used per pilgrim.

Step 2: Gather Required Documents

In step 2, it is assumed that you have completed your medical certificate. Now, be prepared with four recent passport-size photographs, along with the original Aadhaar/voter card/passport ID and one photocopy for each pilgrim. You should also have the original medical fitness certificate, which is to be submitted to the bank. Please keep one photocopy of the original medical certificate with you, as the bank will keep the original medical certificate before issuing the pilgrimage permit.

Step 3: Register for Pilgrimage

Go to the nearest approved bank registration center. Generally, Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Yes Bank, State Bank of India (SBI), Punjab National Bank (PNB), and cooperative banks are authorized to issue permits. Download the list of approved bank registration centers across India here. This is the complete and final list. If you do not find a bank near you, check the nearest center.

Step 4: Pay Registration Fee

Check the availability of permits. If you are getting your desired date, pay Rs. 120 as registration fee to the bank. After receiving the registration fee, the bank official will either give you the color-coded registration form to fill or they will fill it themselves. If they fill it themselves, give them all the details via this permit form along with the original medical certificate, photocopy of ID card, and four passport-size photographs.
